Magnetic Connectors

This week we will be looking at magnetic connectors, while we do not stock these they do seem like a good idea. Basically you have a micro b adapter that fits in the micro USB port on a phone or tablet and then cables with magnetic ends simply stick to the adapter allowing you charge and transfer data etc.

Ever got up and walked away pulling phone off your desk because you forgot the cable was stretched across? I’m sure most of us have so you can see why these are a good idea, the cable will simply disconnect from the adapter. Here is a preview of what these look like.

So what’s new about them? Well nothing really, this technology has been around for a while but just not as universal.
