SVGA to HDMI/HDMI to SVGA – Solved

A question we get asked here constantly is “do you have an SVGA to HDMI cable or adapter?” or “Do you have a HDMI to SVGA cable adapter?”

The answer is yes and no, SVGA is analog and HDMI is digital. The two cannot be used together unless you have a chipset to convert the signals. This is referred to as a ADC orĀ  Analog to Digital Converter, without this it is impossible to use such a cable or adapter despite the market being flooded with cables and adapters without chipsets.

HDMI to SVGA – This works in the same way but uses a DAC, Digital to Analog Converter.

Our SVGA to HDMI (and vice versa) cables and adapters have an ADC. While this is slightly more expensive than the cheap ones flooding the market, this will actually work.
